Vivek Dwivedi is a senior R&D and engineering leader with over 30+ years of experience across Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, Industrial, Heavy Engineering, and Elevator industries. A proud owner of above 30 patents in is field of work, he is a Mechanical Engineer from NIT Jamshedpur and MBA from XLRI, he has led large-scale innovation and product development programs globally.

A key highlight of Vivek’s career is his role as Head of Schindler’s Global Competency Center (GCC) in Pune, where he led a team of 500+ engineers. He was responsible for global Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in Embedded Systems, Control Software, Mechanical and Systems Engineering, Testing, and Digital Transformation. He pioneered the use of Digital Twins in elevator systems and established an Innovation Garage to drive agile product development. Under his leadership, the GCC evolved from a support unit to a strategic hub influencing global product platforms.

Earlier at Tata Motors, Vivek headed design and development of buses and trucks, leading the creation of the Prima platform with over 50 variants and multiple international launches. He led India’s first Fuel Cell Hybrid and Electric Bus projects and developed the world’s first CNG Hybrid Bus deployed in Spain.

Vivek is known for building high-performance teams, creating IP, collaborating globally, and ensuring customer-centric product development. His deep domain expertise and global mindset make him a strategic advisor to companies building the next generation of smart, sustainable products.
